“The value of Computer-Aided Detection for breast ultra-sonography (B-CAD) in the diagnosis of breast cancer”

Its authors are: Li-junlai, MD, Assistant Director of Ultrasound; Song-DanFei, MD; Xu-debin, BJEW; Guan-junpeng, BJEW; Zhao-xuezhen, BJEW; Tang-Jie, Director of Ultrasound; - all are from the Ultrasound Department of the People's Liberation Army General Hospital, PRC

This multi-reader study shows how diagnostic accuracy for lesions less than 1 cm in size improves by 44%. The study also finds that diagnostic accuracy for benign lesions improves by 23%.

The paper’s key finding is: All the doctors participating in the study saw the lesions, and B-CAD helped the doctors classify them more accurately.
